Where Transformation Starts
More Than Profit® exists to help transform charities and social enterprises by strengthening their organisational health — giving them the clarity, insight, and practical plans to create greater impact for the communities that depend on them. MTPCompass™ is where that starts.
We kept seeing the same pattern across the sector: good organisations losing their way, usually without realising it, usually around money, funding, or the organisation’s wider sustainability. Not because they weren’t run properly — but because nobody had ever given leadership, boards, funders and government the tools to see a clear enough picture of what was actually happening internally, and a reliable way to be transparent about it, until it was too late to act on it.
Nobody had a shared, independent way of answering the question that matters most: is this organisation still on track, or has it quietly drifted? Not how good the funding application looked. Not how compelling the story sounded. What was actually going on underneath, and where the organisation was heading.
MTPCompass was built to answer that first question — but it’s only the first building block. Around it we’re building a growing ecosystem of support: health checks, practical roadmaps, a podcast, books, and a community of organisations getting stronger together. Trust, transparency, transformation — this hasn’t existed before. Now it does.

Who we are

Professor Kirsty Thomson-Gillespie FRSA
Co-Founder
Kirsty has spent 25 years inside the charity and social enterprise sector — leading, advising, and watching good organisations quietly lose their way, usually around funding, usually without anyone noticing until it was nearly too late. She has raised over £15 million for causes she believes in, founded The Circle and The Circle Learning Foundation, and is Professor in Practice at the University of Dundee School of Business. A Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a Saltire Fellow, she grounds MTPCompass in lived reality — making sure it measures what actually keeps an organisation on track, not just what’s easy to count.

Paul Le
Co-Founder
Paul has spent close to thirty years advising businesses through growth, turnaround and transformation — the kind of work where you learn to spot when an organisation is drifting long before the numbers make it obvious. An MBA from London Business School, he has been named Strategy Consultant of the Year and led the Strategy Project of the Year at the MCA Awards. He is the architect of MTPCompass, built on a simple conviction: charities and social enterprises deserve real rigour and a clear view of what’s going on, inside the organisation and out — insight that catches drift before it becomes a crisis.
